In today's era of rapid technological development, robots have been widely applied in various fields such as industrial production, logistics and warehousing, and home services. As the core power source of robots, lithium batteries are playing a crucial role and showing a distinct development trend.

The operation of robots requires stable and efficient power support, and lithium batteries can precisely meet this demand. In the field of industrial robots, lithium batteries provide strong power for the precise operation and rapid movement of mechanical arms. For instance, in an automotive manufacturing plant, welding robots, relying on the stable voltage output of lithium batteries, can complete welding tasks for a long time and with high precision, ensuring the consistency of welding quality. In the logistics and warehousing scenario, AGV/AMR logistics robots have shifted from centralized power supply to distributed battery layout. Lithium batteries are installed in the robot chassis, mechanical arms and other parts. Relying on an intelligent battery management system for dynamic management of energy consumption and power distribution, the continuous operation time of warehousing robots has been extended to over 10 hours, significantly improving the efficiency of logistics operations.

From a technical perspective, lithium batteries for robots are developing towards high performance. At present, two major technical camps have been formed: ternary high-performance long-range and lithium iron phosphate safe and reliable. The energy density of Shibao's high-nickel system robot battery cells can reach over 270Wh/kg, supporting high-rate and high-current discharge. They are particularly suitable for batteries that require high explosive power, such as those for robot dogs and humanoid robots. The Shibao lithium iron phosphate battery, with its thermal stability advantage, has been continuously penetrating into industrial and commercial scenarios. It can operate within a wide temperature range of -20 ℃ to 60℃, and its operational stability is higher than that of the ternary lithium robot battery solution. In addition, semi-solid battery technology is also accelerating its development. As one of the earlier enterprises to achieve mass production of semi-solid battery cells, Shibao New Energy's semi-solid battery cells have an energy density as high as 340Wh/kg. Combined with a split design, the weight proportion of the battery can be significantly reduced, greatly enhancing the flexibility of movement.

With the increasing popularity of human-machine collaboration, the market demand for robots continues to grow. According to GGII's prediction, the global shipment volume of lithium batteries for intelligent robots is expected to exceed 2.2GWh in 2025, and the demand is expected to exceed 100GWh by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate of over 100%. Facing such a huge market demand, battery enterprises are not only constantly improving their technical performance but also paying attention to cost control strategies. Meet differentiated demands through customization at the cell and PACK levels, reduce development costs and delivery cycles, as well as subsequent optimization cycles.

In terms of safety protection, robot lithium batteries have strict design standards. As lithium batteries themselves cannot be overcharged, overdischarged, overcurrent, short-circuited or charged and discharged at extremely high temperatures, they are equipped with exquisite protection boards to prevent unexpected situations. Meanwhile, when the battery's own temperature reaches the range of 70±5℃ due to abnormal issues, the temperature switch will act for temperature protection and automatically resume when the temperature drops. In terms of discharge, UL3239 18# silicone wire is adopted for output, ensuring safer and more reliable operation with high current. Moreover, the flexibility of the silicone wire makes it easy to bend freely during use.

Lithium batteries play an indispensable role in the robotics industry. The continuous progress of their technology and the sustained evolution of their development trends will strongly drive the robotics industry to a higher stage of development and provide a solid power guarantee for the intelligent upgrade of various industries.
